This is my very first post on the very first blog I have ever attempted. So, having said that, the learning curve begins here.
My son, Daniel Winkie, has been called to serve in the Prove, Utah mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for two years. He is on his way and enters the Missionary Training Center in Prove, Utah on Wednesday, September 4th, 2013.
He has asked me to share letters home and I figured they could be part of this. I am not completely sure what two years of this blog will look like, however, it will be a journey for our entire family, I hope that it's a good one for everyone. I hope that spiritual strength comes from this experience, for Daniel and for those at home reading this.
For now, we have begun the journey.
